Turn your Friendship Bread starter into a delicious fruity treat with apples or bananas, raisins, and pecans.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Amish Friendship Bread Starter
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup peeled, cored and chopped apple
  • 1 cup raisins
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a cozy 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and generously grease three 9x5 inch loaf pans.
  • Combine the starter in a bowl with oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, instant pudding, and cinnamon. Gently fold the flour mixture into the starter mixture. Stir in pecans, raisins, and apples until evenly distributed. Transfer the batter into the prepared pans.
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and bake for 1 hour.
