Indulge in a tempting English trifle with cake, pudding, and berries stacked in layers for a delightful treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Angel Food Cake Mix
  • 1 1/3 cups cold water
  • 2 packages (4-serving size each) vanilla instant pudding and pie filling mix
  • 4 cups milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon rum extract
  • 4 cups sliced strawberries
  • 2 cups raspberries
  • Frozen (thawed) whipped topping, if desired
Instructions:
  • Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions using cold water. Allow the cake to cool completely, then tear it into bite-size pieces.
  • Prepare the pudding mixes according to the package instructions for a creamy texture by using 4 cups of milk and incorporating rum extract for a hint of flavor.
  • Spread one-third of the pudding evenly on the bottom of a 13x9x2 inch rectangular baking dish. Top with half of the cake pieces and half of the berries. Repeat layers, finishing with the remaining pudding on top.
  • Chill for a minimum of 4 hours, then top each serving with a dollop of whipped topping before serving.
