Quick and flavorful angel hair pasta with garlic, herbs, Parmesan, and olive oil. Ready in just 10 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces angel hair pasta
  • Salt
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme, oregano
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 cloves of garlic, sliced
  • 1/8 teaspoon chili pepper flakes (or more to taste)
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Boil salted water in a large pot: Add 1 tablespoon of salt per every 2 quarts of water and bring to a boil.
  • Infuse flavors in olive oil: While the water heats, gently warm olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in sliced garlic, chili pepper flakes, herbs, and parsley. Sauté for a minute until garlic releases its aroma and parsley wilts. Remove from heat.
  • Prepare the pasta: Angel hair pasta cooks quickly, approximately in 2 minutes once it begins cooking. Ensure everything is ready. When the water reaches a vigorous boil, add the pasta and cook until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water. Drain the pasta and rinse briefly with cold water, striking a balance to halt the cooking process without chilling the pasta. Maintain the warmth of the pasta.
  • Toss pasta with herbed garlic sauce, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper in a bowl until well combined. If needed, add a splash of pasta cooking water to loosen the pasta. Serve as a side dish, reheats beautifully if made ahead.
