Apple and cinnamon clafoutis

Create a decadent French apple custard pudding with sweet apples and rich batter.
Ingredients:
  • 53.75 gm caster sugar
  • 62.50 ml plain flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 257.50 gm reduced-fat milk
  • 400g can pie apple
  • 5.00 gm ground cinnamon
  • 6.00 gm icing sugar mixture
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 180°C and gently grease four 1/2-cup ovenproof ramekins.
  • In a bowl, mix sugar and flour. In another bowl, combine eggs and milk. Pour the egg mixture into the flour mixture and whisk until smooth.
  • Divide apple evenly into ramekins, pour custard over them, sprinkle with cinnamon, place on a tray, and bake for 25 minutes or until custard is set. Let them stand for 5 minutes, dust with icing sugar, and serve.
