Make a stress-free crowd-pleasing oven pancake instead of flipping individual pancakes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 medium apple, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup maple-flavored syrup
  • 1 lb bulk pork sausage
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 egg
  • Additional maple-flavored syrup, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange apple slices in a single layer at the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan. In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, butter, and syrup. Heat over low heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Drizzle the syrup over the apples.
  • In a 10-inch skillet, sauté sausage over medium heat until fully cooked; drain any excess fat. Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the apple-syrup mixture.
  • In a small bowl, mix all the remaining ingredients except for the additional syrup until well combined. Gently pour the mixture over the sausage.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the center springs back when touched. Cut into 3-inch squares, flip each square onto a plate, and serve hot with extra syrup.
