  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 apples - peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 0.25 cup sliced almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Combine butter, 1/3 cup sugar, vanilla, and flour until creamy. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Set aside.
  • Combine cream cheese and 1/4 cup sugar in a medium bowl. Mix in egg and vanilla until smooth. Pour the creamy mixture over the crust.
  • Mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Coat sliced apples with the sugar mixture and layer over the cheese filling.
  • Bake for 10 minutes at the given temperature. Lower the heat to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and bake for an additional 25 minutes. Sprinkle almonds on top and continue baking until almonds are lightly browned and apples are tender. Allow to cool before removing from pan.
