Apple Butter Scones

Flavorful apple butter scones made with Gold Medal® flour, ready in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup apple butter
  • 1 teaspoon butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 teaspoons prepared cinnamon-sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and brown sugar. Mix in 1/4 cup of butter, eggs, whipping cream, and apple butter until a soft dough forms.
  • Place dough on a floured surface and shape into an 8-inch round, 3/4 inch thick. Brush with 1 teaspoon of butter, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar, then cut into 8 wedges. Arrange wedges on an ungreased cookie sheet, spaced 1 inch apart.
  • Bake until beautifully golden brown, then transfer from the cookie sheet to a cooling rack.
