Cheddar cheese and apple Bisquick bites - a quick and delicious flavor combo!
Ingredients:
  • 2 small apples, sliced
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 450°F. Cover a cookie sheet with foil or parchment paper. Arrange apple slices in a single layer on the sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until they are lightly browned and slightly dry. Let them cool, then chop the apples.
  • Mix Bisquick, buttermilk, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl until a soft dough forms, then set aside 2 tablespoons of cheese. Stir chopped apples and the rest of the cheese into the dough until evenly combined.
  • Place the dough on a work surface dusted with extra Bisquick mix. Knead the dough 10 times then roll it into a 1/2-inch-thick square. Cut the dough into 9 biscuits and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Transfer the biscuits onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake until golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. Serve warm.
