Delight loved ones with this apple and cheese breakfast bread made simply with Bisquick®.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 cups shredded extra-sharp Cheddar cheese (8 oz)
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped unpeeled Granny Smith apple (1 medium)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease the bottom of a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, sugar, 1 1/2 cups of cheese, and apple in a medium bowl. In a separate small bowl, whisk together sour cream, milk, and eggs until well blended. Gently mix the sour cream mixture into the apple mixture until fully combined. Transfer the mixture into a pan.
  • Bake for one hour, then sprinkle the remaining half cup of cheese on top. Bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes. Run a knife or metal spatula around the sides of the pan to loosen the loaf, then transfer it to a cooling rack. Cool completely, which should take about 1 hour.
