Indulgent Apple Cider Doughnut Cake made with shredded apple and cider-infused batter. Perfect for any occasion and sure to impress with its delicious flavors. Made with yellow cake mix and fresh apples, it's a must-try dessert that's almost too cute not to share on social media.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • 3/4 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup coarsely shredded peeled tart apples (2 medium)
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Thoroughly coat a 12-cup fluted tube cake pan with baking spray that includes flour.
  • In a spacious bowl, whisk together cake mix, apple cider, 1/2 cup of melted butter, eggs, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, and nutmeg using an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes, while scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally. Gently fold in the apples, then transfer the batter to the pan.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for 20 minutes. Gently loosen the cake by running a metal spatula around the edges of the pan. Transfer the cake from the pan to a cooling rack placed over waxed paper.
  • Brush the cake with 3 tablespoons of melted butter to add a luxurious touch. Combine sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a bowl until fully mixed. Press 2 tablespoons of the cinnamon mixture onto the sides and top of the cake using your hand. Allow it to sit for 20 minutes, then repeat with the remaining cinnamon mixture. Let the cake cool completely for about 1 hour before serving.
  • Let it sit uncovered at room temperature.
