Apple crisp and cookies combine in a delicious dessert pizza.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Oatmeal Cookie Mix
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/3 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter, cold and cut into cubes
  • 3 medium apples, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F, and generously spray a large round pizza pan with cooking spray.
  • Measuring out 1/3 cup of the oatmeal cookie mix, then set it aside.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the remaining cookie mix, butter, egg, and water until smooth and creamy. Drop the dough onto the pan and spread it out to cover the entire bottom evenly.
  • Bake for 5 to 6 minutes, or until edges are just starting to brown.
  • Combine the cookie mix, oats, and nuts in a medium bowl. Use a pastry blender to incorporate the butter until it forms small pea-sized pieces.
  • Combine sliced apples with a zesty splash of lemon juice, sweet granulated sugar, and aromatic cinnamon in a large bowl. Spread the apple mixture over the partially baked cookie crust, then generously sprinkle the oat mixture on top.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the topping is golden and crisp. Allow to cool fully.
  • Combine the icing ingredients and drizzle over the cooled cookie pizza. Allow to sit for 15 minutes before serving.
