Apple crisp: Layers of sweet apples and crumbly mixture (flour, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, oatmeal) in a 9x13-inch pan.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups butter
  • 2 quarts peeled, cored and sliced apples
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine flour, oatmeal, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Mix in butter until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Press half of the mixture evenly into the base of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Layer the apple slices with the crumb mixture, ensuring each apple slice is generously coated with the remaining crumb mixture.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 to 50 minutes until the apples are fork-tender.
