Upgrade your fruit crumbles and crisps with a deliciously crunchy sesame halva topping that's perfect for any fruit dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 5 cups apple - peeled, cored and sliced
  • lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 6 ounces plain sesame halva, crumbled
  • 0.5 cup rolled oats
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • aluminum foil
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and generously grease an 8-inch or 9-inch baking dish.
  • Combine fresh apples, zesty lemon juice, rich brown sugar, warm cinnamon, and aromatic nutmeg in a bowl until well combined. Distribute the fruit evenly in the baking dish.
  • Combine halva, oats, flour, and salt until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit mixture and cover with foil to prevent over-browning.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Allow to cool to let the topping set.
