Irresistible apple crumble with spiced buttery topping, perfect for easy prep and a delightful fall treat!
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups sliced peeled Granny Smith apples
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Arrange the sliced apples in an 8x10-inch casserole dish and drizzle them with a mixture of water and lemon juice.
  • In a mixing bowl, gently blend sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined. Use an electric mixer for ease. Then, incorporate butter pieces until a crumbly texture forms. Spread mixture evenly over the apples before baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until bubbly and golden. Allow it to cool slightly to thicken before serving in bowls.
