Spiced apple cookies with a moist cake-like texture and nutty flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup softened butter
  • 1.5 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chopped apples
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 0.66666668653488 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare your cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl. Cream butter in a large bowl until fluffy, then add sugar and egg. Stir in the flour mixture and mix well. Gently fold in nuts, apples, and raisins.
  • Using a rounded teaspoon, scoop the dough onto the prepared cookie sheets about 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake in the oven for 12 to 14 minutes until golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack.
  • Combine confectioners' sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth, creating a thin glaze. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
