Create light apple noodle dish with airy texture by folding in whipped egg whites. Sweet casserole features cinnamon and golden raisins.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 Macintosh apples, sliced
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup golden raisins
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare a 2-quart baking dish by greasing it.
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook egg noodles until al dente, about 5 minutes. Drain.
  • Combine the melted butter with the noodles in a spacious bowl.
  • Combine the apples, egg yolks, sugar, raisins, cinnamon, and vanilla extract with the noodle mixture, ensuring they are thoroughly mixed.
  • Whisk egg whites in a large bowl until stiff peaks form. Peaks should hold their shape when the whisk is lifted.
  • Gently incorporate egg whites into noodle mixture, then transfer to the prepared baking dish.
  • Cook until beautifully golden in a hot oven for about 40 minutes.
