Fall-inspired apple oatmeal using fresh apples and apple cider for a simple, sweet, and filling breakfast.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chopped fresh apple (with skin)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter until sizzling. Introduce apple slices and sprinkle in rich brown sugar. Stir occasionally and let simmer for 5 minutes until fragrant.
  • Combine oats, apple cider, milk, cinnamon, and salt in a pot. Cook and stir frequently until the oatmeal is creamy and thickened, approximately 3 minutes.
