Apple Pear Cream Cheese Drop Danish

Quick and delicious Apple Pear Drop Danish rolls, ready in just 20 minutes. Top with cinnamon and enjoy warm.
Ingredients:
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 apple, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pear, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Ground cinnamon, for sprinkling
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 450°F and generously coat a cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  • Combine cream cheese, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1 tablespoon milk in a small bowl until smooth. In a large bowl, mix Bisquick, 1/4 cup softened butter, and 2 tablespoons sugar until crumbly. Stir in 2/3 cup milk until dough is formed.
  • Spoon dough onto a cookie sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Use your fingers and the back of a spoon to create a shallow well in the center of each. Fill each well with a generous teaspoon of cream cheese mixture.
  • Halve apple and pear slices widthwise, then elegantly fan 3 half-slices over each Danish (2 apple, 1 pear or vice versa). Mix 1 tablespoon melted butter with honey and delicately brush over the fruit slices.
  • Bake until golden brown, then sprinkle lightly with cinnamon before serving warm.
