Apple Pecan Crumble Bars

Delicious apple pecan oat crumble bars - a perfect dessert treat!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 boxes (12 oz each) frozen harvest apples
  • 2 cups chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 13x9-inch pan with foil, letting it hang over 2 sides, and spray it with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Stir in melted butter until well mixed. Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until set.
  • While the apples cook in the microwave according to package instructions, combine them in a medium bowl with pecans and cinnamon. Spoon the mixture over the partially baked crust and sprinkle with the remaining oat mixture.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until lightly browned. Allow to cool in the pan on a cooling rack for 2 hours. Use foil to lift out of the pan, then cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
