Delicious and easy cinnamon apple baked French toast - a breakfast favorite for all!
Ingredients:
  • 6 eggs
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 (16 ounce) loaf cinnamon bread with raisins, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • 1 Granny Smith apple - peeled, cored, and diced
Instructions:
  • In a mixing bowl, beat eggs and whisk in milk, cream, vanilla extract, and nutmeg until well combined. Gently fold in bread cubes and allow them to soak up the mixture for about 5 minutes. In another bowl, toss sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until evenly coated. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and layer the apple slices at the bottom, then spoon the bread mixture over them. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Spread the diced apple evenly on top of the bread pudding, then cover with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until the bread becomes firm. Uncover, switch the oven to Broil, and broil for approximately 5 minutes until it turns golden brown. Allow it to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
