Apple-infused pork chops seasoned with sage, thyme, allspice, and paprika - a deliciously innovative dish perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 red apples, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup apple juice
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, sage, garlic, thyme, salt, allspice, and paprika in a bowl. Coat both sides of each pork chop with approximately 1 tablespoon of the flour mixture.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear pork chops in olive oil until fully browned on each side, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a platter.
  • Sauté the onion in the flavorful oil and drippings until tender, for about 3 minutes. Add apple slices and cook until tender, about 2 minutes. Pour in apple juice, sprinkle with brown sugar and remaining flour mixture, and stir until dissolved.
  • Bring the liquid to a boil, then simmer the pork chops in the skillet until no longer pink in the center, for about 5 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer reads 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Return the pork chops to the skillet.
