Elevate your steak dinner with easy Asian flair.
Ingredients:
  • 4 beef blade steaks
  • 125.00 ml Honey & Soy Teriyaki Marinade
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Chinese five-spice powder (see note)
  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • Cooked thin hokkien noodles, to serve
  • Steamed Asian greens (such as bok choy or gai lum), to serve
Instructions:
  • Spread the steaks evenly in a ceramic dish. In a jug, mix the marinade, garlic, ginger, and five-spice powder thoroughly. Pour the marinade over the steaks and ensure they are coated well. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Heat a heavy-based frying pan over medium heat and lightly spray with oil. Drain steaks, saving the marinade. Cook steaks in the pan for 4 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Transfer steaks to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm. Pour reserved marinade into the pan, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Arrange the steaks, noodles, and greens on serving plates, then generously spoon over the sauce before presenting. Serve and enjoy a delicious meal.
