Au Gratin Potatoes Stroganoff

Irresistible creamy stroganoff with comforting potatoes.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 box (4.7 oz) Betty Crocker™ au gratin potatoes
  • 2 1/4 cups hot water
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 can (4 ounces) mushroom pieces and stems, drained
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
Instructions:
  • In a 10-inch skillet, sauté ground beef and garlic powder over medium heat until beef is browned; drain any excess fat. Add potatoes, sauce mix, hot water, and milk, stirring well to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a lively boil, stirring every now and then; then lower the heat, cover, and let it simmer for approximately 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender.
  • Gently fold in mushrooms and sour cream until heated through. Rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the sauce to thicken.
