Indulgent potatoes baked in creamy sauce and melted Cheddar on top.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 russet potato, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup 2% reduced-fat milk
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup grated medium Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously butter a 9x13 inch baking pan. Evenly distribute the potatoes in the pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine heavy cream, milk, garlic, flour, salt, and pepper then pour over the potatoes and cover with foil.
  • Preheat the oven and bake the foil-covered potatoes for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 40 minutes until easily pierced with a fork. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top, bake until melted for 5-10 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
