Whip up homemade empanada pastry rounds effortlessly. Double the batch and freeze for future cravings.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 6 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • In a food processor, blend the sifted flour and butter until crumbly. Then, add the egg and pulse until just combined.
  • Combine salt with warm water until dissolved. Add the mixture slowly to the food processor and pulse until a soft dough forms a ball. Place the dough in a bowl and tightly wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle flour on a clean work surface and gently knead the dough for 1 minute. Roll it out thinly, cut into rounds, and use immediately for delicious sweet or savory empanadas, or store in the freezer for future use.
