Renowned chef B. Smith shares a delectable recipe!
Ingredients:
  • 6 large ripe peaches, peeled and pitted, thickly sliced (about 6 cups)
  • 2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and coat an 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish with grease. In a 4-quart saucepan, combine peaches, brown sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook over low heat for approximately 10 minutes until peaches are slightly tender and the syrup has thickened. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  • Combine Bisquick mix and 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar in a large bowl. Use two knives or a pastry blender to cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk and vanilla quickly with a spatula until well blended.
  • Spoon generous dollops of biscuit mixture over the peaches until fully covered. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon granulated sugar.
  • Bake until beautifully golden brown, about 25 to 35 minutes.
