Bacon Cheeseburger Tater Tots™ Casserole

Simplify the process by creating a delicious bacon cheeseburger and fries casserole in under an hour.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons Montreal steak grill seasoning
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of onion soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 bag (32 oz) Ore-Ida™ Tater Tots™ frozen potatoes
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, coarsely chopped
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and generously coat a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a generously sized nonstick skillet, sauté beef and onion over medium-high heat until nicely browned, about 7 to 9 minutes. Remove excess fat, then add seasoning, soup, and sour cream, stirring until well combined.
  • Layer half of the frozen potatoes in the baking dish. Top with the beef mixture, half of the chopped bacon, 1 cup of Cheddar cheese, the rest of the frozen potatoes, and the remaining 1 cup of cheese.
  • Bake for 40 minutes. Sprinkle remaining chopped bacon on top and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until edges are bubbly, potatoes are lightly browned, then sprinkle with green onions.
