Bacon Double Cheeseburger Casserole

Indulgent bacon double cheeseburger casserole is irresistibly creamy and delicious.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups uncooked elbow macaroni (about 10 ounces)
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic pepper
  • 2 cans (10 3/4 ounces each) condensed Cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 package (8 ounces) Cheddar cheese cubes
  • 10 strips cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Progresso™ plain bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare and cook macaroni according to package instructions.
  • While the macaroni is cooking, brown the beef in a 4-quart Dutch oven over medium-high heat until cooked through. Drain any excess fat. Add the cooked macaroni, milk, garlic pepper, soup, cheese cubes, and half of the bacon. Transfer the mixture into a 3-quart casserole dish.
  • After baking the casserole uncovered for 20 minutes, combine the remaining bacon with bread crumbs and butter, then sprinkle this mixture over the casserole. Bake it uncovered for an additional 5 minutes.
