Savor the same burger taste in a family-sized skillet dish!
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 box Hamburger Helper™ double cheeseburger macaroni
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 3 slices (1 oz each) pepper Jack cheese, cut diagonally in half
  • 1 medium tomato, cut into 6 slices
  • 6 slices bacon, crisply cooked and drained
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the beef and onion for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  • Combine milk, hot water, uncooked pasta, sauce mix from Hamburger Helper box, and barbecue sauce in a pot. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Simmer with the lid on for 10 minutes until the pasta is tender, stirring occasionally. Remove the lid before serving.
  • Lay the cheese slices on top, then top each slice with a tomato slice and a bacon strip in a spoke pattern. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
