Whiskey-soaked salmon wrapped in crispy bacon, perfect for a delicious appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup steak seasoning sauce (such as Dale's Steak Seasoning®)
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar, divided
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon (such as Jim Beam®), or more to taste
  • 3 scallions, chopped
  • 1 (1 1/2-pound) salmon fillet, cut into 2-inch cubes
  • 0.5 pound bacon strips, cut in half
  • 15 toothpicks, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Combine the steak seasoning sauce, 6 tablespoons of brown sugar, bourbon, and scallions in a large bowl to create a flavorful marinade.
  • Coat salmon cubes in flavorful marinade, then refrigerate with plastic wrap for 4 to 6 hours.
  • Wrap each succulent salmon cube with savory bacon and secure it with a toothpick. Finish by sprinkling the remaining 2 tablespoons of luscious brown sugar on top.
  • Get your outdoor grill ready by preheating it to medium heat and giving the grate a light coating of oil.
  • Grill the bacon-wrapped salmon, turning often, until the bacon starts to crisp, approximately 5 minutes.
