Thanksgiving-inspired bacon-wrapped balls made with butter, cream cheese, and stuffing mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 0.5 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 0.5 cup chopped celery
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups stuffing mix (such as Kraft® Stove Top®)
  • 0.5 (8 ounce) package softened cream cheese, cut into chunks
  • 0.25 cup softened butter, cut into chunks
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 0.66666668653488 cup very hot water
  • 0.66666668653488 cup bread crumbs, or as needed
  • 6 slices bacon, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté red bell pepper, celery, and onion in oil until softened, for about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a large bowl, mix stuffing mix, cream cheese, butter, and beaten egg until well combined. Add hot water and mix thoroughly. Allow mixture to rest for about 10 minutes until liquid is absorbed. Fold in red bell pepper mixture and shape into 1-inch balls.
  • Spread the bread crumbs out in a shallow dish. Coat the balls in bread crumbs and place them on a baking sheet. Gently press the balls to form patties, then wrap them in bacon.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown and crisp. Flip and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the tops are crispy as well.
