Total Time:
Light and flavorful cinnamon roll with applesauce; a guilt-free twist on a classic treat. Perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup Mott's® Original Applesauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (13.8 ounce) can refrigerated pizza crust
  • 0.25 cup light brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine all the sauce ingredients and whisk together. Cook and stir occasionally for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly spray an 8-inch cake pan with non-stick cooking spray. Roll out the pizza dough into a 8 x 12-inch rectangle with the short side closest to you.
  • Mix the sugars and cinnamon in a small bowl, then evenly sprinkle the mixture over the dough. Gently pat the sugar mixture into the dough, and roll the dough away from you to form about a 2-inch diameter and 12-inch long log.
  • Slice the dough into 8 equally thick pieces. Arrange the rolls in a greased cake pan and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Drizzle sauce over the rolls, then bake for 15 minutes. Allow the pan to cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then serve.
