Apple-filled crescent rolls baked in a sweet, citrusy cinnamon glaze - a quick and delightful dessert for any occasion!
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle caffeinated citrus-flavored soda (such as Mountain Dew®)
  • 4 small Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, and quartered
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter with sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes until the sugar completely dissolves. Take the saucepan off the heat and set it aside. Divide the crescent roll dough into 16 triangles. Wrap each apple slice with a triangle of dough and place on a baking pan. Pour the butter mixture over the wrapped apples followed by the citrus-flavored soda.
  • Bake until beautifully golden brown, approximately 40-45 minutes in the preheated oven.
