Mexican-inspired chicken flautas stuffed with chiles, salsa, and cheese, baked until crispy and delicious.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies
  • 0.25 cup green salsa (such as Herdez®)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 (6 inch) flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a skillet over medium-low heat, combine chicken, chilies, salsa, chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder. Cook and stir until everything is heated through, about 3 to 5 minutes. Then, remove from heat.
  • Heat 2 to 3 tortillas at a time in the microwave for 20 to 25 seconds until soft and pliable. Repeat with the rest of the tortillas.
  • Place a tortilla on a flat surface. Spread the chicken mixture in a line on one end of the tortilla and sprinkle with cheese. Roll the tortilla tightly, ensuring it stays intact. Secure with two toothpicks. Repeat the process with remaining tortillas, chicken, and cheese. Place the filled tortillas in a baking dish.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 7 minutes. Flip over and bake until golden, approximately 7 more minutes.
