Fall inspired baked chicken with apples and onions - a fragrant and delightful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 12 bone-in chicken drumsticks, with skin
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 small apples - peeled, cored, and cut into wedges
  • 2 large onions, peeled and cut into wedges
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for a perfectly baked dish.
  • Place the chicken in a roasting pan and generously season each side with salt and pepper. Pour apple cider vinegar and water into the pan. Sprinkle the chicken with rosemary and thyme, then add apple and onion wedges around the chicken. Drizzle with olive oil before roasting.
  • Let the oven work its magic for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 395 degrees F (202 degrees C and bake the chicken until lightly browned, about 5 to 15 minutes. For extra browning, you can also use the broiler.
