Savory herbed chicken breasts baked with spaghetti sauce, gooey mozzarella, and crispy pepperoni for a simple and delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • cooking spray
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 (14 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese, or to taste
  • 24 slices turkey pepperoni
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Season chicken breasts by gently massaging them with fragrant oregano and basil.
  • 1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and spray with cooking oil. 2. Add garlic and sauté until aromatic, about 2-3 minutes. 3. Cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through, around 5 minutes per side.
  • In a large baking dish, spread half of the spaghetti sauce. Place the chicken breasts on top and cover them with the remaining sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then top each chicken breast with 6 slices of pepperoni.
  • Bake until the cheese is bubbly and golden, approximately 10 minutes in a preheated oven.
