Baked mac and cheese: simple, comforting, and quick homemade meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) package macaroni
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2.5 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish.
  • Cook macaroni in a generous amount of salted boiling water until slightly undercooked, approximately 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine milk and egg, then mix in cheese and butter.
  • Add the partially cooked macaroni to the baking dish. Drizzle the creamy milk mixture over the macaroni, season with salt and pepper, and mix well. Press the mixture evenly into the dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the top is golden brown, for 30-40 minutes.
  • Serve piping hot and savor every delicious bite!
