Delicious baked oatmeal with a sweet caramelized sugar topping, perfect for a large group.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Quick Quaker® Oats, uncooked
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 3.3333332538605 cups fat-free milk
  • 0.5 cup egg substitute with yolk
  • 0.33333334326744 cup firmly packed brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease an 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Mix together the oats and granulated sugar in a large bowl.
  • Mix the milk, egg substitute, and vanilla in a medium bowl until well combined. Stir into the oat mixture until fully incorporated. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until the center gently jiggles, then transfer to a cooling rack.
  • Evenly scatter brown sugar on top of the oatmeal. Use the back of a spoon to gently spread the sugar into a thin layer over the entire surface of the oatmeal.
  • Place back in the oven and bake briefly until the sugar is melted, approximately 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to broil setting. Broil 3 inches from heat until sugar bubbles and lightly browns, for 1 to 2 minutes. Keep a close eye to avoid burning, and consider rotating the baking dish if needed. Serve by spooning into bowls.
