Elevate breakfast with versatile, budget-friendly and nourishing porridge. Get creative with customizable ingredients for a delicious twist each time!
Ingredients:
  • 160 g rolled oats
  • 600 ml milk or organic soya milk
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 30 g flaked almonds
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • maple syrup or runny honey
Instructions:
  • For the basic porridge, in a large pan over medium heat, combine oats and milk (or 600ml water) and add a tiny pinch of sea salt. Simmer for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring often until creamy. Add more milk to adjust consistency if needed. For the banana and cinnamon topping, slice bananas and toast almonds in a dry non-stick pan until golden, for about 3 to 4 minutes. Mix cinnamon, poppy seeds, and a touch of maple syrup or honey into the porridge. Divide into bowls and top with bananas and almonds. Drizzle with extra maple syrup or honey, if desired.
