Make the best moist and delicious banana bread with ripe bananas. Easy one-bowl recipe, no mixer needed!
Ingredients:
  • 2 to 3 very ripe bananas, peeled (about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups mashed)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter, unsalted or salted
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar (1/2 cup if you would like it less sweet, 1 cup if more sweet)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously butter an 8x4-inch loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, thoroughly mash ripe bananas until smooth. Add melted butter and mix well.
  • Combine the remaining ingredients: Blend in the baking soda and salt. Gently fold in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Incorporate the flour into the mixture.
  • Prepare the loaf pan and fill it with the batter. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 55-65 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean with a few dry crumbs and no wet batter. If needed, tent with foil and bake until fully done if the center is still wet.
  • Rest and enjoy: Once baked, allow the banana bread to cool in the pan briefly. Once slightly cooled, gently remove it from the pan and let it cool fully before slicing. For clean slices, utilize a bread knife. Store leftovers wrapped well at room temperature for up to 4 days, in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or freeze for longer storage.
