Delicious low-fat banana muffins with chocolate chips, no butter or oil.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.25 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 0.25 cup applesauce
  • 0.5 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) while you generously spray a 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick spray.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Gently incorporate egg whites, applesauce, and mashed banana until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips. Distribute batter evenly into muffin cups.
  • "Bake until golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes."
