Indulge in heavenly Banana Pudding Poke Cake, capturing all the delicious flavors of classic banana pudding. Top with fresh sliced bananas for extra sweetness.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix (such as Duncan Hines®)
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant banana pudding mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®), thawed
  • 1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs (such as Nilla®), or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and generously grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Combine cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a bowl and whisk until the batter is smooth; pour it into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 23 to 28 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Combine cold milk and pudding mix in a bowl and whisk until the pudding is smooth and thickened, which should take around 2 minutes.
  • Use the handle of a clean wooden spoon to create holes in the cake. Evenly pour the pudding over the cake, then top with whipped topping and sprinkle vanilla wafers on top.
