Elevate classic Hamburger Helper® with a delicious, year-round barbecue twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 box Hamburger Helper™ Cheddar cheese melt
  • 1 2/3 cups milk
  • 1 1/3 cups hot water
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 cup crushed barbecue-flavored potato chips
Instructions:
  • In a 10-inch skillet, brown the beef over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often, until fully cooked; then drain any excess fat.
  • Combine uncooked pasta and sauce mix from the Hamburger Helper box, along with milk, hot water, barbecue sauce, and onion in a pot. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes until pasta is tender. Remove from heat.
  • Cover and let the sauce stand for 5 minutes to allow it to thicken. Sprinkle with chips right before serving.
