Homemade healthier beef burger patties - easy to make and perfect for meal prepping!
Ingredients:
  • 500g lean beef mince
  • 1 small carrot, peeled, grated
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 70.63 gm barbecue sauce
  • 50g salad leaves
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 Lebanese cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 4 white bread rolls, split, toasted
  • Barbecue sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix together the minced meat, onion, garlic, carrot, egg yolk, and sauce.
  • Form mixture into four 2cm-thick patties, place on a plate, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add the patties and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  • Arrange the salad leaves, tomato, and cucumber on the bottom half of the rolls. Place the patties on top followed by the sauce and the other half of the rolls. Serve and enjoy!
