Slow-cooked zesty BBQ beef made with chuck roast in homemade sauce, perfect for feeding a crowd on sandwiches.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups ketchup
  • 0.25 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons prepared Dijon-style mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (4 pound) boneless chuck roast
Instructions:
  • Mix together ketchup, brown sugar, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke. Stir in salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
  • Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker and generously pour the flavorful ketchup mixture over it. Cover and let it simmer on Low for 8 to 10 hours until perfectly tender and juicy.
  • Shred the chuck roast using a fork, coat it evenly with the sauce, and let it cook for about 1 more hour.
