Freezer-friendly mince for easy, no-fuss meals. Just defrost for a quick dinner solution.
Ingredients:
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 stick celery, finely chopped
  • 1 red capsicum, deseeded, finely diced
  • 1 green capsicum, deseeded, finely diced
  • 1kg lean beef mince
  • 400g can chopped Italian tomatoes
Instructions:
  • In a hot frying pan, sauté onion, celery, red capsicum, and green capsicum until softened, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the mince and cook while stirring with a wooden spoon until it browns, about 8 to 10 minutes. Mix in the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until thickened, around 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Enjoy right away, or let it cool completely before freezing for up to 3 months in a perfectly-sized container for the mince.
