BBQ Bison Back Ribs

BBQ-slathered bison back ribs: slow cooked then grilled to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 pounds bison back ribs, cut into 2 to 3 rib portions
  • 3 cups water to cover
  • 1 medium carrot, sliced
  • 1 medium celery, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions:
  • Place the ribs in the slow cooker and completely cover them with water. Add the carrot, celery, onion, and bay leaf. Cook on Low for 8 hours or on High for 4 hours until tender and fully cooked.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill on low heat and lightly oil the grate while you wait.
  • Remove the succulent ribs from the slow cooker and generously brush them with the flavorful BBQ sauce.
  • Grill ribs until beautifully browned, about 15 to 20 minutes.
