Ingredients:
  • 400g beef mince
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 40.00 ml parsley, chopped
  • 18.40 gm oil
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 pieces shortcut bacon
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • Mixed lettuce leaves
  • 2 sliced tomatoes
  • Tomato sauce or barbecue sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • Mix together 400g beef mince, 1 small chopped onion, 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley, and season generously. Shape the mixture into 4 patties, flatten them evenly, then place on a tray in the fridge to chill for 5 minutes.
  • In a large frying pan over high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Cook patties for 3-5 minutes until golden. Halve 2 slices of cheddar cheese, then top patties with cheese. Continue cooking for another 3-5 minutes until patties are cooked through.
  • As the patties are sizzling, toss in 4 pieces of shortcut bacon into the same pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side. Once done, layer them on top of the patties. Take 4 toasted hamburger buns, stack the bottom halves with mixed lettuce leaves and thin tomato slices from 2 tomatoes. Add a patty on top and finish with the remaining bun half. Serve alongside your preferred sauce.
