Savor our budget-friendly Asian beef stir-fry for a flavorful meal.
Ingredients:
  • 100.65 gm oyster sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 3cm piece fresh ginger, peeled, finely grated
  • 500g beef rump steak, trimmed, thinly sliced
  • 56.88 gm peanut oil
  • 1 red onion, cut into thin wedges
  • 1 red capsicum, thinly sliced
  • 150g green beans, trimmed, halved
  • 150g cup mushrooms, sliced
  • steamed jasmine rice, to serve
Instructions:
  • Mix together the savory oyster sauce, aromatic garlic, and zesty ginger in a jug. Place the beef in a shallow glass or ceramic dish, and pour in half of the sauce mixture. Stir well to ensure the beef is evenly coated, and set aside the remaining sauce mixture for later use.
  • Preheat a wok over high heat, then coat it with 1 tablespoon of oil. Stir-fry half of the beef until sealed, about 1 minute. Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining beef using another tablespoon of oil.
  • Pour the rest of the oil into the wok and toss in the onion. Stir-fry for 1 minute. Toss in the capsicum, beans, and mushrooms. Stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes until the beans are tender. Put the beef and its juices back into the wok. Add the sauce mixture you set aside. Stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes until everything is heated through. Serve over rice.
