Mouthwatering burgers stacked with juicy beef, cheese, spinach, and caramelized onions - a guaranteed crowd pleaser!
Ingredients:
  • 40g butter
  • 1 x 400g pkt fresh sliced onions
  • 40.00 ml balsamic vinegar (Mazzetti brand)
  • 32.00 gm brown sugar
  • 2 x pkts 100% beef Aussie burgers
  • 2 x pkts Turkish bread squares
  • 1 x 150g pkt baby spinach leaves
  • 6 slices cheddar
  • 6 gherkins, thinly sliced lengthways
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Bake the bread in the oven according to package instructions until it turns golden brown and is fully cooked. Once done, take it out of the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Melt butter in a large non-stick frying pan until foamy. Cook onion over medium heat for 5 minutes until soft. Add vinegar and sugar, cook for 5 more minutes until onion caramelizes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the beef burgers for 3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and perfectly cooked.
  • Halve the bread squares. Arrange the bases on serving plates and layer with spinach leaves, beef burgers, and caramelised onion. Top with cheddar and gherkins, then place the remaining bread halves on top. Serve immediately.
